The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the leadership of their London boutique. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional client experiences, driving commercial performance, and ensuring the seamless day-to-day operation of the boutique.
This position is ideally suited to a commercially minded luxury retail leader with a passion for exceptional service, team development, and operational excellence. Leading by example, you will inspire the team to deliver the highest standards while fostering a collaborative, client-focused environment that reflects the values and vision of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the boutique, ensuring exceptional standards across sales, client experience, and operational performance.
- Lead and motivate the team through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing development, fostering a collaborative culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement.
- Take responsibility for the boutique in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring business objectives, operational standards, and service expectations are consistently achieved.
- Champion an elevated client experience through personalised styling, clientelling initiatives, and long-term relationship building with local and international clientele.
- Monitor boutique performance, sales targets, and key performance indicators, implementing action plans to maximise commercial success.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and the continued development of team members, helping to build an engaged and high-performing retail environment.
- Oversee stock management, inventory control, visual presentation, and operational procedures, ensuring the boutique consistently reflects the brand's exacting standards.
- Act as a true ambassador for the brand, maintaining expert product knowledge and remaining informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and the evolving luxury retail landscape.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar leadership role within luxury fashion or premium retail.
- Proven success in supporting and developing high-performing retail teams while achieving commercial objectives.
- Strong clientelling experience with the ability to cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships with a discerning clientele.
- Excellent commercial awareness with experience driving sales performance and delivering KPI targets.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a meticulous approach to operational excellence and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional, and discreet approach.
