Remote (UK based), with occasional travel to Bristol/Milton Keynes
£60,000 per annum

We're looking for an experienced Head of Product Development to lead the journey from design concept through to bulk production. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring every product meets uncompromising standards for fit, quality, commerciality and execution.
The Role
As Head of Product Development, you will own the complete product development lifecycle, leading every stage from design handover through to production approval. You'll build exceptional supplier partnerships, oversee technical development and ensure every collection is delivered on time, within budget and without compromise.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading the end-to-end product development process from initial design handover through to bulk production
- Creating and maintaining accurate CADs, technical drawings, specification sheets and production-ready tech packs
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with strategic suppliers and manufacturing partners, continually assessing quality, capability, innovation, speed and cost
- Sourcing and developing premium fabrics, trims and raw materials that align with the Marame brand vision
- Managing sample development, monitoring progress against key milestones and proactively resolving fit, quality, functionality and costing challenges
- Developing, managing and communicating seasonal critical paths to ensure all deadlines are achieved
- Owning development budgets and product costings, identifying opportunities to maximise value while maintaining exceptional quality
- Reviewing product concepts for technical feasibility, manufacturing capability and commercial viability
- Conducting quality reviews of fabrics, trims and development samples prior to production approval
- Monitoring production through to completion, ensuring every collection is delivered to the highest standards
- Leading final product approval before bulk production
- Acting as the central link between Design, Buying and Manufacturing, ensuring clear communication and seamless collaboration throughout the development process
About You
- Proven experience leading product development within a premium fashion brand
- Exceptional technical knowledge of garment construction, fit, pattern development, fabrics and manufacturing processes
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in product costing and supplier negotiations
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where flexibility and initiative are valued
