An innovative luxury fashion brand known for its intelligent approach to design, versatility and conscious consumption is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join its new flagship store on Madison Avenue.

The brand challenges traditional, disposable fashion by creating beautifully crafted garments designed to evolve, adapt and be worn season after season. Its Italian-made clothing and buildable accessories offer exceptional versatility, with interchangeable and detachable elements allowing clients to personalise and continually reinvent their wardrobe.

Collections are produced in limited quantities using responsibly sourced and recycled fabrics from Italy and Japan, with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, longevity and considered design. With a highly personal approach to luxury, the brand offers its clients creative freedom alongside an elevated and engaging shopping experience.

The Role

The Assistant Store Manager will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager with the successful day-to-day running of the brand's new Madison Avenue flagship.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who is passionate about luxury retail, product, styling and building meaningful long-term client relationships.

The successful candidate will support all aspects of store operations, including team leadership, client experience, visual merchandising, inventory management and commercial performance. They will act as a strong presence on the sales floor, leading by example and delivering an exceptional and highly personalised level of service.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Store Manager with the overall day-to-day management and performance of the flagship store.
  • Leading, motivating and supporting the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional service.
  • Developing long-term client relationships through proactive clienteling, personal shopping and personalised styling.
  • Acting as a brand ambassador on the sales floor, providing expert product knowledge and styling advice.
  • Supporting team scheduling, training, coaching and ongoing development.
  • Overseeing opening and closing procedures and ensuring consistently high operational standards.
  • Supporting visual merchandising and ensuring the store reflects the brand's luxury positioning.
  • Managing inventory, point-of-sale activities and stock processes.
  • Monitoring store performance and supporting initiatives to drive sales, client retention and loyalty.
  • Implementing loss prevention procedures and maintaining excellent standards of organisation and presentation.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities to grow the business and strengthen the client experience.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within luxury fashion or specialist retail and will combine strong commercial awareness with a genuine passion for product, styling and client engagement.

They will demonstrate:

  • Strong luxury customer service skills with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Personal shopping and clienteling experience, which is essential for the role.
  • A genuine passion for fashion, product and styling.
  • Previous retail leadership or management experience, including supporting teams, daily operations and sales performance.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive within an entrepreneurial and growing luxury business.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using POS systems and interpreting basic retail performance data; Shopify experience would be advantageous.
  • An appreciation for craftsmanship, sustainability, quality and considered luxury.
  • Flexibility to work full-time on site, including weekends, evenings and holidays when required.
