Assistant Store Manager – Luxury Fashion

Mayfair, London | 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
£40,000 + Commission | OTE £52,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join a highly regarded international luxury fashion and lifestyle brand within its Mayfair boutique.

Known for its understated aesthetic, exceptional quality and elevated approach to modern luxury, the brand has built a loyal international clientele and a strong presence within some of the world’s most prestigious retail destinations.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to join a close-knit, high-performing team and play an integral role in driving the commercial success of the boutique.

The Role

Working closely with the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will support the day-to-day leadership and commercial performance of the Mayfair boutique, delivering an exceptional level of service while developing strong, long-term relationships with both local and international clients.

The successful candidate will lead by example on the shop floor, combining a hands-on approach to selling and clienteling with strong people management and operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in driving sales, KPIs and overall boutique performance.

  • Lead from the shop floor, delivering an exceptional and highly personalised luxury client experience.

  • Build and maintain a strong personal client book, proactively driving repeat business and client retention.

  • Coach, motivate and develop the team to achieve individual and store targets.

  • Support with daily team management, performance, training and development.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the product and communicate the brand story confidently and authentically.

  • Ensure the boutique consistently reflects the highest standards of luxury presentation and visual merchandising.

  • Support with stock management, CRM, reporting and general boutique operations.

  • Act as a brand ambassador, developing relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

  • Support the Store Manager in creating a positive, collaborative and commercially focused store culture.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory or management experience within luxury or premium fashion retail, with a genuine passion for product, service and relationship-led selling.

They will be:

  • A confident and credible people manager who enjoys coaching and developing a team.

  • Commercially minded with a strong understanding of KPIs and sales performance.

  • An accomplished seller with excellent clienteling and relationship-building skills.

  • Product-focused with an appreciation for quality, craftsmanship and understated luxury.

  • Hands-on, proactive and comfortable working within a close-knit boutique environment.

  • Polished, personable and able to engage naturally with a discerning Mayfair clientele.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and operational standards.
