Four Seasons Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a premium womenswear brand in the search for an inspiring and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join their retail team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate retail professional who thrives on delivering exceptional customer experiences, leading by example, and driving commercial success through strong team coaching and operational excellence.

About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in creating an outstanding in-store experience for every customer. You will lead from the front, demonstrating exceptional clienteling skills such as managing  'by appointment only' clients, building lasting customer relationships, and helping customers create beautiful wardrobes that make them look and feel their best.

Supporting the Store Manager, you will be responsible for motivating and developing the team, driving sales performance through behavioural coaching, and ensuring the store operates to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example through exceptional selling and clienteling behaviours.
  • Build meaningful customer relationships and deliver personalised styling advice.
  • Drive store sales by monitoring KPIs, identifying opportunities, and coaching the team to achieve results.
  • Maintain a positive, energetic, and customer-centric sales environment.
  • Ensure the sales floor is consistently engaging, well-presented, and commercially effective.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Oversee daily operational standards, including merchandising, stock presentation, and store maintenance.
  • Ensure all visual merchandising and display standards are maintained.
  • Support customer data capture initiatives to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and security procedures.
  • Train, coach, and develop new and existing team members.
  • Support loss prevention initiatives and maintain strong operational controls.

About You

  • Minimum 1 year's experience as an Assistant Manager within retail, or 2 years' experience as a Key Holder.
  • Fashion or apparel retail experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to analyse KPIs and translate insights into action.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management abilities.
  • Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Passionate about fashion, styling, and creating memorable customer experiences.
