Store Manager – Chicago Flagship

$100,000 base salary plus bonus and package

The Store Manager is responsible for driving business growth through exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and effective team leadership. This role oversees daily operations, ensures adherence to company policies, manages inventory, and trains staff to deliver an elevated shopping experience. The Store Manager empowers team members to make decisions in the best interest of the customer while upholding the highest retail standards.

The Chicago Flagship location opened in 2019 and serves as a key retail presence in the city. The Store Manager will lead a team of two experienced Senior Sales Specialists focusing on client development, operational efficiency, and sales performance. This position requires a “hands-on” leader with a passion for luxury retail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to cultivate lasting client relationships.

Working closely with the leadership team, the Store Manager will be tasked with growing the client base, increasing sales, and enhancing profitability—all while creating a welcoming, relaxing, and memorable environment for customers.


Key Accountabilities

Business Leadership

  • Drive and maximize sales performance to consistently achieve monthly and annual targets while maintaining operational integrity and profitability.
  • Analyze store performance, identify trends, and implement action plans to address opportunities and challenges.
  • Demonstrate sales leadership by actively engaging with clients on the sales floor, ensuring the highest levels of service.
  • Provide product knowledge training to all associates to ensure alignment with seasonal direction and brand values.
  • Develop local marketing initiatives and in-store events that attract high client attendance and generate strong sales.

Client Development

  • Implement strategies to retain and grow a loyal customer base, with a focus on high-potential clients.
  • Build store presence in the Chicago market through community outreach and exclusive events.
  • Oversee exceptional after-sales service to strengthen customer loyalty.
  • Capture and maintain meaningful customer data to personalize future interactions.

Operations

  • Manage all HR functions including recruitment, performance reviews, scheduling, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure the store is well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all health, safety, and security requirements.
  • Monitor expenses, adhere to budget guidelines, and process accounts payable in a timely manner.
  • Oversee daily merchandise flow, including incoming shipments and outbound transfers.
  • Maintain organization of all back-of-house and front-of-house areas.

Buying / Merchandising / Stock Control

  • Plan and prepare seasonal buys in coordination with company leadership.
  • Manage all aspects of inventory control, resolving discrepancies quickly and accurately.
  • Identify and reorder best-selling products to meet demand.
  • Stay informed on local market trends and adjust stock strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure the store’s visual presentation and merchandising consistently reflect the brand’s image and values.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years’ retail management experience, preferably in luxury or flagship environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales reports and respond strategically.
  • Proven success in driving customer loyalty and delivering measurable sales results.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel (intermediate), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Passion for the fashion industry and client-focused service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
