Sales Advisor – Luxury Jewellery Boutique

Salary up to £50k based on experience plus a generous commission scheme

Monday- Saturday. Sunday Closed.

A rare and unique opportunity to join a small family owned fine jewellery boutqiue has arisen in the Knightsbridge area of London for the position of Sales Advisor.

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Advisor will be responsible for welcoming discerning clients and guiding them in finding exceptional jewellery pieces. Clients rely on the expertise of the boutique’s specialists to navigate a worldwide collection of unique designs while receiving uncompromising and exceptional service.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
Provide an unparalleled and personalised shopping experience, offering expert guidance on diamonds, gemstones, and fine jewellery. The Sales Advisor will tailor their approach to meet the unique needs and tastes of high-net-worth clients, ensuring complete satisfaction at every stage of the purchasing journey.

Build and Expand the Client Network
Attract new clients through personal connections as well as boutique walk-ins. The Sales Advisor will proactively develop and maintain a portfolio of clients through outreach, networking, and referrals. Leveraging knowledge of luxury goods and strong relationship-building skills, the role will focus on creating a loyal and engaged client base. This includes:

  • Attending events to connect with potential new clients
  • Following up with existing clients to inform them of new collections and exclusive product offerings
  • Using social media and industry connections to attract new clients to the boutique

Client Relationship Management
Maintain a personal client book consisting of both new and existing clients, delivering a bespoke service including exclusive previews, personalised product recommendations, and special-order arrangements. The Sales Advisor will anticipate client needs and be available for private in-store consultations, ensuring a seamless luxury experience at every interaction.

Merchandising and Visual Presentation
Ensure the boutique showroom is always impeccably presented, with displays reflecting the luxury and exclusivity of the collection. Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and support visual merchandising strategies that highlight new collections and high-value pieces.

Team Collaboration and Leadership
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth store operations and exceptional client service. Share expertise in luxury sales, product knowledge, and client management to contribute to a culture of excellence within the team.

Applicant Requirements

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in high-end jewellery sales
  • Strong knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, and fine jewellery (GIA or equivalent certification preferred)
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as Arabic, Mandarin, or Russian are highly desirable
  • A results-driven and entrepreneurial mindset, with strong soft-selling skills and a proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a luxury retail environment
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with high-net-worth clientele
  • Immaculate personal presentation and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced luxury retail environment
  • Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate VIP clientele
