On International Women’s Day 2017, The Girls Network wanted to say a big thank you again, for all of the time and energy Four Seasons Recruitment so kindly give to The Girls’ Network and the girls that we support.
In 2016 alone, The Girls' Network mentors and volunteers gave 9,500 hours of their time helping nearly 700 girls.
“The Girls’ Network has helped me learn that I am ready to overcome any obstacles to get to where I want to be.” Nagma, student at Westfield Academy
Yet in an increasingly uncertain world, it is more important than ever that we keep supporting the most vulnerable in our communities. And there are many more girls across the country that need our help.
- Only 33% of teenage girls spoken to in 2014 feel confident about themselves and their future.
- Just 50% of 16 year old girls from the poorest homes received GCSE passes above grade D
- Fewer than 15% of girls starting on our programme this year have met someone working in Engineering, less than30% have met someone working in Law.
How can you be what you can't see?
Connecting the girls with our network of female role models has had an incredible impact, but we can only do this with your continued support.
