Last night, Mount Street marked the start of their Christmas season when Roksanda Ilincic, among other retail stores helped Mount Street flip the switch on the holiday lights, with cocktail parties at their respective boutiques.
“It’s so nice to feel like a celebrity for the day, with everyone coming to say hello and taking pictures,” said Ilincic, whilst she greeted her guests with Champagne and caramelized sweets.
This year, myself and Lydia from the Perm Team ventured down to join the celebrations and to support our clients on the street. A very special guest, Michelin Star and Maitre d’ , more recognised as host of Chanel 4’s First Dates, Fred Sirieix arrived at The Connaught for the honour of turning on the lights.
This annual Christmas occasion is growing in popularity as London’s most luxury brands enjoy new ways of socialising and entertaining their clients and guests. Safe to say the Champagne was flowing and the street was filled with an incredible atmosphere as everyone came together to witness the spectacular display.
A new addition to Carlos Place this year was The Connaught Tree designed by British sculptor Antony Gormley stood 17.5 metres tall. The arrival of the tree marks the start of the festive season for Mount Street and Mayfair and is a definitely a must see for those visiting London.
