Can you believe it is 10 years since the launch of our favourite weekly glossy magazine, Grazia?! To celebrate their big birthday Grazia have opened an exhibition at the Getty Images Gallery in London, and being an avid reader of Grazia, I couldn’t resist a quick visit to see what all the excitement was about.
You can’t miss the building as you walk past, decorated in Grazia's bright yellow and black, it invites passersby to come in and celebrate their 10th birthday. As you walk in, the left of the entrance is decorated ceiling to floor with copies of past Grazia magazines. Can you guess which celebrity has featured of the cover the most on their 514 issues?
You then take a walk through history as you follow your way around the room year by year. If you download the free Grazia Extra app onto your phone and you can unlock exclusive videos, games and interactive features as you browse the exhibition. Every wall is covered in famous photos and top headline stories which have been featured in the magazine over the years. In the centre of the room is a cabinet of iconic outfits by their favourite designers including Mary Katrantzou, J.W Anderson and Topshop.
At the other end of the room is a wall displaying the “It Bags” of the last 10 years, including Louis Vuitton, Prada and my favourite one, the orange Celine. As you reach the end of the exhibition there is a photo opportunity where you can take a photo which looks like you are on the catwalk. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be giving Cara Delevigne a run for her money!
The exhibition finishes on 14th March, so if you are indulging in a shopping trip down Oxford Street it is definitely worth popping by for a quick walk down memory lane. For more info click here.
