A lesson on how to pronounce the best known brands

Britons don't just risk a fashion faux pas through questionable dress sense - many fail to correctly pronounce some of the best known brands.

Since joining Four Seasons Recruitment, and working alongside these brands I need to get it right!! As do our candidates.

Tongue twisters include Ralph Lauren, which should be 'Ralph Laur-en'. 'Zjee-von-she' for Givenchy and 'Loo-ee Vwee-tton' for Louis Vuitton.
A study by etiquette specialist Debrett's finds the most mispronounced brand is Lanvin, which should be 'Lahn-vahn.

Next is Moschino, which should be 'Mos-key-no', followed by British tailors Gieves & Hawkes- ' 'Geeves & Hawkes'. Also in the top ten are Hermes, which is said 'Er-mess'. Slightly more tricky is Sonia Rykiel, pronounced 'Sewn-ya Ree-key-el', Balmain which is 'Bal-mahn' and 'Loh-wev-eh' for Loewe.

So there you have it.... Now you know!
