On the 30th September the CIPD People Management Awards (PMAs) 2014 took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.
The awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements in people management and development, and the impact it has on organisational success.
Winners were divided across 19-categories, with entry open to all organisations, regardless of size or sector. We are delighted that one of our clients Pentland Brands were crowned as the overall winner and picked up the prize in the ‘Best Employee Engagement Initiative Award’ category. It won for its campaign to bring together 19,000 employees working across different brands using workshops to unpick silo-strewn working practices. An overwhelming majority of employees (98 per cent) now say they understand the company’s vision, and 84 per cent describe it as a great place to work.
The judges praised Pentland for a number of its people management practices, including the connection of employees to business strategy, and the articulation of the right balance between financial results, long-term global brand building and people-centredness.
