It is a very exciting time in London, with the sun shining and the Jubilee long weekend approaching...
The city is preparing for the celebrations, with Union Jack flags lining Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street, where many famous fashion houses flagship store locations are located. London's most iconic luxury department stores, including our clients Harrods London, Liberty London and Selfridges, have truly embraced the British spirit they are internationally known for with specialty gifts and souvenirs for the Diamond Jubilee.
"As the UK gears up for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, there's no better time to celebrate the best that Britain has to offer. Contributing over £2 billion to the UK economy, with world-renowned fashion designers, fantastic shopping and distinctive style, our fashion industry exemplifies British creativity, passion and entrepreneurship." – Prime Minister David Cameron (Vogue UK, 2012).
Marking 60 years of The Queen's reign, the visual merchandising for retail shop windows and store displays have been taken over in an ambundance of British spirit! Retailers store windows have been given a patriotic makeover in red, white and blue, preparing for the celebrations that will be taking place from 2nd - 5th June 2012.
At Harrods, The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Employee Singing Event which took place on Wednesday 16th May 2012 was to launch all of the Jubilee-themed windows and store decorations. To mark the occasion, the Executive Chairman of Board of Directors Ahmad Al-Sayed and the Harrods Directors invited all Harrods employees to come together and make history.
